Miranda is a character from Shakespeare’s play, The Tempest. As a young girl she was banished from Italy with her father Prospero. They were put out to sea in a boat and landed on an island just north of the African coast. She grew up alongside young Caliban, the only inhabitant on the island.
Her collection features natural materials from the sea, such as sea glass, shells, coral and pearls, as well as wood, coconut and seeds from the land. Aquas, blues and celadon greens reflect the beauty of the sea and sky while taupe, khaki, beige and creamy white reflect the earthy sand and foam of the beach.
